7 Was Not Enough!

Foxcroft Academy where both Dottie and I work is primarily a day school, but we have 3 dorms with about 30 boarding students from around the world. This winter we ran out of dorm space so with our own seven children raised we thought this the perfect opportunity to open up our home to a few of the Academy’s boarding students.

Early in January we had Yoo-Jin Lee, Seulki Kim and You-Jin Choi arrive in our home. All three girls live in the bedroom space where our own daughters use to live.

They have brought teenage laughter and joy into our home. They are all full on energy and always are looking for ways to show kindness to each other and to us as their host parents. We marvel at their thoughtfulness and respect for each other and us. While they do require more work for us…no more cheese and crackers for dinner, we love every minute with them.
