Late Summer Memory
One of the experiences Dottie and I have enjoyed most in having international students live in our home is the opportunity to meet their parents.
This past June Seulki’s mom (Young Sook Seo) and Hae Jin’s mom (Soon Hee Jeoung) were able to visit us. Unfortunately at that time Won’s parents were not able to visit. However, this past August as Won was preparing to move into the University of Illinois her mother and sister flew over from Korea with their first stop being Dover-Foxcroft and our home.
We didn’t have a lot of time, but in the midst of trying to help Won finish her packing, Dottie did get a chance to show Won’s mother (Kyung Sook Oh) some of her flower gardens. We also ejoyed my attempt at a Korean style meal.
