Off to Boston

Mom took off to visit her sisters in Chicago, You-Jin was off to Rochester to visit friends and I was left caring for our remaining boarding daughters as well as taking 24 of the Academy’s boarding students to Boston for two days. Our own daughter Ellen and our 5 grandchildren also joined me for part of a day as students, grandchildren and I toured the New England Aquarium.

You can’t go to Boston with teenagers without shopping. Here Yoo-Jin and Seulki try on the latest fashion in hats which pays tribute to Maine’s favorite crustacean. Some students took off and found their way to the campus of five different colleges for a short tour of each while others headed to Chinatown and the asian section of Boston for their favorite dishes.

I headed back with students on Tuesday evening and most students were asleep within a few minutes, although here to the right are Don and Alex who were
awake and kicking their feet up after a long day of walking around town. It was a great two days and everyone had a great time, but as one student said, “It is good to be back in Dover where things are peaceful and quiet.”
